By Musa Bukhari
Some of the most beautiful examples of humility are demonstrated in the Qur'an. We see the humility of men and women who are described as the best of mankind. We see how during their times of trial and hardship, they turned to Allah in supplication, pleading to Him in the most eloquent and clear manner. We can learn so much for the prophetic du’as and du’as of the righteous. Some scholars can teach an entire seminar based on some of the du’as mentioned Qur'an, with some only containing a few words within them, yet Allah chose to highlight these specific invocations from the billions mankind has made throughout time. If we reflect on these supplications we will find the recipe to our success, inshaAllah.
The Prophet (sallalahu alayhi wa sallam) has said that “Du’a is worship. Your Lord said: call on Me and I’ll answer you. (Abu Dawud).
We have compiled thirty short and easy-to-memorise du’as that will help you bring more substance to your du’as. Aim to memorise at least one du’a per day, reflect on its meaning, and teach someone else to gain even more reward! You can even print them out and stick them on your fridge or refer to them between work meetings.
