The world famous Muslim comedy outfit Allah Made Me Funny 20 city tour has raised over £1.75 million in pledges as part of the Chuckle for Charity 20 city comedy tour, which was organised by the humanitarian aid charity Human Appeal.
Preacher Moss, Azhar Usman, Mo Amer along with YouTube sensation Guzzy Bear & Ali Official (warm-up acts) will people in laughter all night long.
The Chuckle for Charity tour took place in 20 fantastic venues across the UK, people all over the country got to see the trio of comedians wherever they were in the UK and were able to donate to the charity event before each show. The tour itself was in aid of the charities winter appeal.
Winter will bring untold misery to those already suffering in Syria and Gaza. Last year saw refugees trying to survive in abandoned buildings, tents and under plastic sheets. With the refugee crisis intensifying, and this winter likely to be even worse, the money raised through the comedy tour will enable Human Appeal to provide shelter, blankets and food.
Othman Moqbel, Chief Executive of Human Appeal, said: “We are delighted that so many people have been moved to pledge such a large amount for people in need overseas this winter. The success of this tour is testament to the hard work and dedication of the comedians, our staff and volunteers. We are celebrating 25 years in operation this year, and this news is a fantastic way to start the year.”
