After a year since the start of the bombing in Gaza, 42,000 people have died and more than 97,590 people have been injured. Only 11 out of Gaza’s 36 hospitals are still functioning in any capacity, and even those are stretched beyond their limits and at risk of closing.
As the health system crumbles, a simple sickness, such as the flu can spiral into a life-threatening illness for the most vulnerable – young children and older people. Support our health care centre in Jabalia and help 3,750 people per month to receive treatment, helping to rescue Gaza’s healthcare system.
£36 – Provide five people in Jabalia refugee camp with treatment and medication at our health centre.
“The believers are like one body in their mutual love and affection: if one limb is injured, the rest responds with sleeplessness and fever.” (Bukhari, Muslim)
A lifeline for the community
We’re supporting a community NGO hospital in Jabalia refugee camp – the hospital, along with all its outpatient clinics has been bombed, and we’re now operating it out of a house, along with 10 outpatient clinics. But we urgently need your help to support patients in Gaza.
Your charity will help us to continue providing healthcare including GPs, gynaecology, obstetrics, surgery, paediatrics, urology, cardiology, dermatology, and other specialties. £36 provides five people with consultations, lab work, and medicine.
The hospital we support has been working non-stop to provide health services to the community, even as it has been bombed and evacuated to a nearby building.
Palestinians in Jabalia camp urgently need access to healthcare, your donations will help to support doctors and patients; it’s a lifeline to a health system and to a displaced person facing sickness.
Human Appeal is committed to providing aid in the country or programme that you select. In the event we complete the programme, exceed the required funds, or are denied access to a particular country for reasons beyond our control, Human Appeal reserves the right to reallocate your donation to another programme where it is needed most.
