Honour Allah’s blessings by performing an Aqiqa for your baby. It’s a beautiful sacrifice that continues Ibrahim (AS) and Muhammad’s (PBUH) legacies. The Messenger of Allah offered Aqiqas for his grandsons, Hassan and Hussein, and it’s a sunnah all Muslims are encouraged to continue.
£110 - Provide 1 Aqiqa for the birth of your baby girl
£220 - Provide 2 Aqiqas for the birth of your baby boy
Aqiqa is a form of sadaqah that helps protect your baby, and also brings you ample reward by feeding those in need.
Welcome the arrival of your baby and give thanks to Allah by performing your Aqiqah. It can be offered at any point after a child’s birth, but it is recommended to perform it within the first week.
Aisha (RA) narrated, "Slaughter two comparable sheep for a male newborn and one sheep for a female." (Hadith Ahmad and Tirmidhi)
Give your Aqiqa with Human Appeal
We’ve been performing Aqiqas for 33 years, helping you to honour and bless your new baby, while helping the poorest communities to eat well.
Our local teams select only the healthiest, well cared for animals and slaughter under the strictest Islamic guidelines, ensuring that your Aqiqa fulfils all the requirements of this beautiful sacrifice.
When you donate your Aqiqa with us, our local teams will aim to perform your sacrifice within 2 to 3 weeks.
They’ll then immediately distribute fresh nutritious meat to the most vulnerable families, helping to fight hunger and malnutrition. Each animal sacrificed will provide 7 or 8 families with 2 kilograms each. Currently, we perform Aqiqas in every country in which we work.
Sacrifice an animal for other reasons – Nidr
As Muslims, performing an animal sacrifice is also a means of expressing gratitude to Allah for our blessings. When this is done for a reason outside of having a child it’s called Nidr.
Not only is this an act of worship to Allah, but it also provides nourishment to communities who don’t have enough to eat.
Some of the reasons Muslims perform Nidr is to express thanks, and to seek protection for successes such as a new job, recovery from sickness, or simply to acknowledge immense blessings and privileges.
Donate a Nidr sacrifice now for £110 to provide 7 or 8 families with 2 kilograms each.
Keeping you in the loop
We’ll carry out your Aqiqa wherever it’s most needed, and once it has been performed, we’ll send you a report to let you know when and where the sacrifice was completed, and how many people it supported.
Welcome your new baby into the world by following the example of the Messenger (PBUH). Perform your Aqiqa today.
